He was united in marriage to Rachel HASTINGS July 14, 1882 and to this union were born three children, the wife and infant daughter preceded him in death the year 1885. He was again united in marriage May 15, 1894 to Clara B. JEFFRIES and to this union were born ten children, the wife and four children preceded him in death. Deceased was a consistent Christian, a member of the Masonic Lodge, K. of P. and a Modern Woodman. In the last few years he was much afflicted, but never complained. He leaves eight children, of whom six are small, and a host of friends to mourn his departure.
