DESPONDENT MOTHER ENDS LIFE WITH POISON Bloomfield, Ind., Nov 17--Lydia Slymm, 32 years old, died yesterday two hours after she had taken poison at her home 8 miles east of Bloomfield. She had been despondent for some time on account of ill health but seemed to be improved in the moring when her husband left for his work at the Mohawk Mine near Jasonville. She is survived by the husband, Claude Slymm, and three children who (were) attending school only a short distance from the home at the time of the suicide. A note was left for the husband asking him to continue living in the same home and to be good to the children. The note also contained one paragraph addressed to a brother of the husband asking that he aid in rearing the children.
