Mary E. was the half sister of my grandfather, Robert O. Sponsler. Laura was Robert's sister. Mary E.'s mother was Lucinda Jones who married Richard in Tuscarawas County Ohio in 1844. They moved to Indiana in late 1840's. Lucinda died there about 1861. Richard remarried and moved to Illinois. I have posted a photo of Richard and other genealogical information at findagrave.com where you can do a query for Richard. Richard and his 2nd wife Emily (Laura's mother) are buried together with Laura and her husband James. My home email is [email protected] if you would like more information, feel free to send me wire.
