Author: CaroleStClairGrant Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.indiana.counties.greene/9814.2.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I was at the Greene County Health Department in June of this year, and as we chatted, two of the personnel who were wonderful, helpful and friendly, told me that the birth and death record books were to be micro-filmed because so many people, like me, were coming in to go through the vital records books personally. The Health Department does not let researchers handle the books because they are old and becoming fragile. I don't live in Indiana and know nothing about the Greene County Historical Society.
