There was a James Phipps born in Virginia in 1821 the son of Lewis and Margaret (Rector) Phipps who moved to Lawrence co. Indiana about 1823 where 6 more children were born. This James lived 9 May 1821-30 Mar 1884. He was married to Ruth Fullfer 24 Aug 1841 in Davis Co., Indiana and had 7 children. Lots of similarities in dates if you look at it. Hope this helps a bit.
