H. BRANDON died at the home of her son, Cyrus BRANDON, in this place Monday, after a long illness. She came to Bloomfield in October from Owensburg, her health being so poor that she had to leave the care of her family, expecting to return when her health improved, but she steadily grew worse instead of better. Her husband died January 31 and since then she has failed more rapidly than ever. The funeral was from the house of her son at 10:30, March 1, and the remains were taken to Owensburg in the afternoon for burial. Mrs. BRANDON was born at Bloomington, July 19, 1833, but when ten years old her parents moved to this county, which has since been her home. She was married at Jonesboro in 1858 and with her husband in 1863 moved to the farm near Owensburg, and that and the town of Owensburg has since been her home.
