He was married to Rachael {GLOVER} COMBS in the year 1896. To this union were born three children, Frank WELBORN, of Bloomington, Indiana, age twenty years, Maud WELBORN, seventeen years of age, who has been keeping house and caring for her father, and younger brother, Ray, 12 years of age. Besides these, there are three half-brothers and sister, the late {Marc} COMBS, of Bloomington, who departed this life some two years ago, Wendell COMBS, of Bicknell, and Mrs. Roxie SLINKARD, of Bloomfield, and two grandchildren, William Brantley COMBS and Geneva COMBS to which latter he was very much devoted. Also a host of relatives and friends, are left to mourn their loss. Rachael, the wife and mother of this family, departed this life seven years ago last January, since which times the father and two younger children have resided at this place. He was patient in suffering, having been afflicted more that two years. He made no great profession or pretenses, but had decided convictions and was ready and willing to meet the unknown realties before him.
