Some wedded bliss turns sour. How do you find divorce records for our county? I have a Marion F THOMAS who was married Aug 28, 1897 to Mary PATE. He supposedly divorced her and married Alice Catherine PETTIT from Indianapolis. I cannot find any record of the divorce or the second marriage. Alice is buried beside him and "in stone" carries the THOMAS name. What makes this even more confusing is that Mary PATE was first married to Wylie R ANDERSON in 1892. When she died in the 1960's she was buried as ANDERSON? Another twist? She had two children by THOMAS whom he raised. BE NICE. She was my great grandma. :) Could someone please help me unravel this mystery? CJ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BENHAM/
