His wife, Nancy Evans Bledsoe died in 1877. Both are reported by several sources as being buried on the "Gambill Homestead", also described as the Wiley H. Gambill place. So, the question becomes the location of Wiley Gambill's ground in 1877. Does anyone have a source for a 1877 Cass Twp, Sullivan County Platte Book that would be willing to look up same? The Bledsoe and Gambill families had many inter marriages in the mid to late 1800s. Wiley died in Sept., 1893 and is buried at Antioch in Sullivan Co. There is also a John Bledsoe, b.1800, Uncle of John Boyd, buried at Samaria Cemetery. A recent family source indicates this John B. Bledsoe buried near Linton, Indiana in the old Sassafras Cemetery. Can anyone with Greene County Cemetery Books help with burial location? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
