A.J.'s son John W. was my gg grandfather. You were asking about Mary E. Newsom Dixon. Its funny you should ask about her. My Dad remembers them visiting his parents when he was still at home. My Dad is now 73. Mary married Charles W. Dixon on 7/29/1869 in Greene County Indiana. Mary was born in 1849 and Charles W. was born in 1846 in Indiana. Charles died 1/29/1914 in Linton, IN. They had 2 children. Dannie Dixon born 1870 and Louisa Dixon 1872. Louisa married Andrew T. Custer in 12/27/1894. They had one child Mary Elizabeth Custer Rice. She was born in 3/7/1907 and died on 6/25/1997 in Indianapolis. Mary married Louis H. Rice on 10/4/1924 in Indianapolis, IN. I do not know if they had any children. When I was younger my grandmother would tell me that Andrew T. Custer was related to General Custer. I have not been able to connect that yet so probably just legend. I have newspaper clipping from a Newsom family reunion where Mary Dixon is the oldest relative there. I think it was in about 1915. I will have to look more closely. Will be happy to send it to you. I have a document signed by John W. and A.J. dated 1872. I also have a picture of A.J's wife. If you would like to see any of this I would be happy to send it to you via computer.
