I have been working on trying to get my files updated. I have no idea if these items are accessible or not. They are all from microfich of Greene co. Clerk's office I my possession - Index to Estates etc. No 1. 1853 -? Intersted in contents or if any thing of interest in them - 1) McWhirter, Robert (Plaintiff) Vs. Exman C. FLinn (defendant) ?1858? Box. 3 file 2; 2) McWhirter, Robert (plaintiff) va. Graham & Hitchcock 1861 Box 3 file 2; 3) McWhirter, Hester A. Gd. Rept. May Tr. 1869 Box. 55 file 1 Does this state who her father was? She is listed on the 1870 census with Robert Mewhirter/McWhirter and he did not die till 1872 she would not need guardian if he was her father, Have been told she was daughter of his son Samuel Taylor and Dicey (Roberts) Mewhirter, he died while in survice of CIvil war in 1862. 5) McWhirter, Robert estate Pet. to Sell May 1872 Box. 80 file 1 6)McWhirter, Robert estate Guardian report Jan 1874 Box. 83 file 2 7) McWhirter, Elizabeth estate settled March Term 1876 Box. 127 file 2 Out of Index to Estates May 1884 to Dec. 1928. If right Bucher this would be grandson-in-law of Robert Mewhirter. I am assuming both are same estate records. William W. White was son-in-law of Robert Mewhirter 1) Bucher & Bucher (plaintiff) Dan M. Bynum Trustee (defendant) Box. 217 2) Bucher, Ruben (Plaintiff) William W. White Admr. 219. dates on page preceeding this entry is 1891 and date after on next page is 1893 so I am assuming date of erecord is 1891/2. No rush or if you can't do I'll understand
