His wife was born Oct. 19, 1759 in the same county. They were married Oct. 19, 1779 in Montgomery Co. He died in 1818. She died in May 1854 in Indiana. They had a son: Samuel, born 1797 in Montgomery Co., MD and married 1) Celia Arney in Indiana, Feb 1822 in Greene County, Indiana, married 2) Susannah in Crawford Co., Illinois. Samuel born 1797 was father of another Samuel born in 1836 in Indiana. He married 1) Susannah Smith in 1856 in Owen County, Indiana and 2) Caroline Higgins in Crawford Co., Illinois two years later.
