Alice (SEXSON) HILL passed away at her home at Grant {Perkins County} Nebraska, last Sunday morning, November 6, after a lingering illness of nearly two years of cancer of the spine. She was seventy-one years of age. Mrs. HILL was the daughter of John Granville and Martha (WALKER) SEXSON and was born in Center Township, Greene County, Indiana, where she resided with her parents until 1883, when her family moved to York County, Nebraska, where she lived until 1886, then moving to Perkins County in western Nebraska. She was one of the pioneer settlers of this Nebraska county and was identified with the upbuilding of this part of the state, having owned and improved several different pieces of property. She, with her family was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and lived and practiced that true Christian fellowship, always willing and anxious to do her part for the church and in fact all those in need of help. She leaves a husband and one son, four brothers, Joseph J.; Edgar H.; Carol Speed; and John G. SEXSON, and many other relatives and a host of friends to mourn their loss. She visited Greene County a few years ago and renewed many acquaintances of her girlhood days in Center Township. - Link to the Obituary of her brother, Joseph J.
