Eckley COMBS, son of John and Elizabeth {STONE} COMBS, was born near Solsberry, Indiana, August 26, 1875; died October 30, 1927, at the age of fifty-two years, two months and four days, his health having been failing for over a year. In early part of 1900 he was united in marriage to Miss Minta HUNT, of Crawfordsville. To this union were born two sons, Edison and Alvin, who remain to mourn his departure. Mr. COMBS was the youngest of eleven children and his death leaves on three of the family now living, John D. COMBS, of Bloomfield; Mrs. Sadie E. SHANNER, of Page, Nebraska, and Pleasant L. COMBS, of Farmersburg. He was well known in this community having spent practically all his life on the farm on which he was born. Besides his immediate family he leaves a host of friends, as he was respected and loved by all those who knew him as a neighbor and friend. - We wish to thank all relatives, friends and neighbors for the expressions of sympathy during the sickness and death of our beloved father and brother, D. Eckley COMBS. Especially do we thank Mr. and Mrs. Everett STRINGFELLOW and Rev. J. N. A. DOWNEY, also the singers, Masonic Lodge and Jenkins & Jenkins, funeral directors. EDISON COMBS, ALVIN COMBS J.
