HATFIELD, DUGGER, DIED SUNDAY, DEC. 20-Was Brother of Late Deceased Jeremiah Hatfield, and Was Born Near Owensburg." [Transcribed on December 19, 2007 by RLJ from microfilm of the original newspaper on file in the Bloomfield-Eastern Greene County Public Library.] Martin HATFIELD, aged about seventy years, died December 20, at his home in Dugger, following a short illness. He was born and reared in Greene County near Owensburg, and was a brother of the late deceased Jeremiah HATFIELD, of this place. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Missouri (BORDERS) HATFIELD; four sons, Glen, of Pennsylvania; William, of Toledo, Ohio; Ora and Ernest, at home, and five daughters, Mrs. Abigail KITCHELL, of Vincennes; Mrs. Serena HAM, of Freedom; Mrs. Laura EAGLETON, of Robinson, Illinois; Mrs. Eloise RIDGE, of Dugger, and Miss Agnes, at home. Four grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Martha JACKSON, of Owensburg, and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning at the Dugger Church of Christ, in charge of Rev. J. R. CLARK. Interment in the Dugger Cemetery.
