My G-G-G-Grandfather Michael Ryan came to Greene County around 1845 to I believe probably to work on the canal at Newberry. He is on the 1850 census with his wife Amelia and my G-G-Grandmother Mary Ann Ryan and by the 1860 census Amelia is in Martin County remarried. I bought a book on the Indiana Canals and it says that there was a bad cholera outbreak while they were working on the canal and my guess is that he died at that time. Has anyone read about this and where these people may have been buried. I have never located his grave. JoAnn
