Her maiden name was WORKMAN. She was born in Coshocton County, Ohio, May 15, 1841. She was 61 years, 4 months and 28 days old. She was married December 25, 1870, to B. F. STRINGFELLOW. To them were born two sons, both of whom are living. She came with her late husband to Indiana in 1877 and located in Greene County, where she lived till her death. Her husband died three or four years ago. She united with the Christian church about 1872 and led a consistent Christian life for these forty years. For the last four months of her life she was obliged to sit in her chair much of the time day and night. She passed away sitting in her arm-chair, and death came so peacefully that her watchers thought for a time that she had just fallen asleep. Truly, she had, but it was “Asleep in Jesus, that blessed sleep, from which none ever wakes to weep.” Funeral services were held at the Ridgeport church, October 14, conducted by Rev. T. A. COX, after which Mrs. STRINGFELLOW was laid to rest in the Walnut Grove Cemetery, beside her husband. “Let her sleep.” — Link to another Obituary of Harriett (WORKMAN) STRINGFELLOW from The Bloomfield News: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=message&r=rw&p=localities.northam.usa.states.indiana.counties.greene&m=2797
