My GGgrandparents, William and Clarissa Lotz Humphreys are buried there, as well as two of their sons. My Ggrandfather Ansel Humphreys, and Madison Humphreys(who was married to Betsy Lund) . 3. Hi all, I'm not usually on the computer during the week as I have to get up before the chickens and get to bed before primetime, however, my big sister wanted me to look at something she'd sent and, being an obedient younger sister, I hopped right on the computer. I found many requests for lookups in response to my offer. I just want you all to know that, tho unable to get to them tonight (I'm already up past my bedtime - my sisters in her leisure years and doesn't realize some of us still have to work for a living) I will definitely respond to your requests this weekend - probably Saturday since the calendar doesn't show any other activity planned for that day. Thanks for your patience and its off to bed. Peggy

    3. Sorry, but I guess I didn't write that correctly. There are no Absolom's at all. The only Nancy was b.7 May 1932, d.15 Jan 1992. ----- Original Message ----- From: "p" <polywog@jam.rr.com> To: <dehojopeg@earthlink.net> Sent: Tuesday, May 21, 2002 12:07 AM Subject: Re: [INGREENE] Re: Green Co Cemetery Lookup Hi Peggy- Re your following: "Beech Creek Township has many Davis's but no Absolom or Nancy (w/correct dates)". This seems to indicate that a Absalom and Nancy Davis are buried there. If you can, would you please forward whatever is reported for them, regardless of correct date? You were very kind to respond so quickly and throughly. Thank You- paul From: P.J. Dehoog Date: Monday, May 20, 2002 09:22:27 AM To: INGREENE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [INGREENE] Re: Green Co Cemetery Lookup I started with Taylor Township and only found one Davis listed: Scotland Cemetery Davis, Beulah C. 23 Aug 1915 - 23 Nov 1974 Beech Creek Township has many Davis's but no Absolom or Nancy (w/correct dates) Cass Township only has Blanche Quackenbush Davis 1894 - 26 Apr 1978 Center Township has many Davis's but no Absolom or Nancy. Highland Township has a few Davis's but no Absolom or Nancy. Jackson Township has quite a few Davis's but no Absolom or Nancy. Richland has a few Davis's but no Absolom or Nancy. Sorry, but it appears they aren't buried in Eastern Greene county or their graves are among the "lost". You might want to check the Western Greene County listings. I don't have them but perhaps someone else on the list might. The cemetery should've been about a mile or so north of the Solsberry Store but when the Cemetery book was done in 1993 this Cemetery could not be found. More than likely like a lot of cemeteries of this size some farmer probably bulldozed it over and is now using it as a corn field.
