They are buried in the Stropes Cemetery in Richland twp. Greene Co., Indiana. It is 1/4 mile west of Mineral; left across Plummer Creek bridge; right at the road's "T"; about 1/2 mile on the right in a field off the road. Richland twp, near the Taylor Twp line. From what the book says, it appears the markers are (Pg 222)sandstone, and between 1971 and 1981 weather has nearly distroyed the information on them. Not closely related, to James, I am his 2nd gr. grand neice. Hope this helps. Joyce

    3. Hi Betty, I'm sorry I don't have the Dickinson information you are seeking but perhaps you can answer a question for me? Do you have any further information on Elizabeth Sanders Gross? Undocumented by me, I have seen reference to her marrying a John S. MOORE on July 9, 1848. I have been researching the Priscilla Sanders - Samuel W. Moore family (md. 1866, Greene Co.) Priscilla's father (John Sanders) was a brother to Elizabeth Sanders Jessop. Her mother was Mary Ann Jessop (dau. of Caleb Jessop.) Samuel W. & Priscilla (Sanders) Moore also moved to Decatur (Macon Co), IL. According to the 1880 census (Decatur, Macon Co), their youngest son, age 6, was born in Ohio. Thanks. Campbell and wife Mariah Lorrison Campbell. John M. (shown on tombstone/marker) was born April 1860 in Kentucky and died 1940 in Greene County. Marie (as shown on death record and tombstone/marker)was born 1874 according to death record. She died 7/22/1960 in Greene County. In the Lorrison family, John always went by Bill. I don't know what he went by in IN. Mariah, as she was known to the Lorrison family, was my 2nd great-aunt. They had the following children: Agnes, Susie B., Elizabeth, Mable Gladys, Thomas, George W., and Joseph (Jody). Susie stayed in Kentucky and married John Melbourne Kirtley Sr., Elizabeth married Earl Baughman in Greene County, and Gladys married a Farthing? Gladys also worked as a telephone operator and Thomas worked as a laborer in a pop factory (probably Coca-Cola). I would very much like to make contact with some of Uncle Bill and Aunt Mariah's descendants as I have done so with all other siblings of Aunt Mariah. I descend from her brother Alexander "Sandy". Thank you in advance. Rachel Towe
