Surnames: Wills, John Wesley Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Ci.2ADE/4727.2.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Hello. I am looking for information on my great grandfather, John Wills. Family story is that he was killed in the "Little Betty Mine" accident. I do not have any dates. He was married 3 times. His last wife, Golda Fern, died from illness, so he left behind 2 children. Janice M. Wills, b. Oct.1, 1920 and John Lewis Wills, b. Oct. 1, 1922. My grandfather (who came from Liton), Glen Bickford Wills, came to claim John Lewis Wills sometime after their fathers death (they had different mothers) to raise him in Indianapolis. Janice stayed behind being raised by a family in Linton. (I'm trying to get their name.) Please send me any information on John Wills burial place if possible. My father is also deceased and I have very little info. Mostly stories told by family. Many thanks to you in advance. It is my guess John Wills (middle name, psbl Wesley) would've been buried in the Linton area. I'm sorry I do not have the date of his death, with no info on the "Little Be! tty Mine" accident. I have some doubts that it was in fact that mine he died in. John Lewis Wills left Linton for Indianapolis at age 7 I'm told, which would've been 1929. Again, thanks for your time. Becky Haunert

Goto the courthouse to the I believe the Assesor's office. They sell the maps that the police and fire dept use. It is 2 feet tall and 3 feet long and shows every deeded cemetery in the county and the map only cost a "dollar". And since it is the same map that the police and fire dept use, it shows all those little gravel roads.
