I hope it isn't too late to add my mystery (family) members. The PIGG and GAMBILL families were large families in this area of both Greene & Sullivan Counties. My 2nd great grandmother was Phebe Ann GAMBILL born ca. 1832 daughter of Martin Cleveland GAMBILL Jr. & Susan Shaddon (or Shaddis). Phebe had many siblings. Phebe married Nathan PIGG 22 July 1845 in Greene County. They had 9 known children: Lucinda, John, Joseph N., Mary M., Martha J., Nathan Mack, Elizabeth "Lizzy" N., Daniel V., Clayburn (my line). This family was located in the following Censuses: 1850 US Federal (Wright Twp., Greene Co., IN) Census: Nathan age 21 Born TN; Farmer; Real Estate 200. Phebe age (?) 15-18 Born IN. Lucinda age 2 Born IN. John age 1/12 Born IN 1860 US Federal (Wright Twp., Greene Co., IN) Census: Nathan age 31 Born TN; Farmer; Real/Personal Property 2000/1128. Pheban (sic) age 26 Born IN. Martha J. age 2 Born IN. Mary age 6 born IN. Lucinda age 12 Born IN. Nathan died 20 June 1877 and was buried in Antioch Cemetery. I found widow Phebe and children on the 1880 US Federal (Wright Twp. Greene Co., IN) Census: Phoebe age 48 widow; Born IN Her Father & Mother born TN. George age 17 Born IN; son. Elizabeth age 14 Born IN; daughter. Daniel age 11 Born IN. William age 8 Born IN. I would like to learn what happened to Phebe Ann (GAMBILL) PIGG after this 1880 Census. Did she marry? When & where did she die? Where was she buried? Any help appreciated. Thank-you. Regards, Peggy
