Skinner. But I have very little information on David Brock, as he was Mary's first husband I believe, before she married Wm. Bland. I just looked at the 1870 census from Heritage Quest and Ancestry and I couldn't find him listed on either census?? According to the census there was no Brock in Greene Co. listed for that year?? But like I said, that census was so very hard to read, that he could have been there and it just might not have been ledgable. Sorry. Surnames: Wall, Corbin Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.indiana.counties.greene/9732.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Thank you for responding to my inquiry about Randall Corbin. There is so much mystery surrounding Dora and Randall..because I noticed a few delibrated omissions made by the Wall family. Dora Alice Wall (Daughter of Henry Charles Wall and Margaret Powers), age 27, married Randall Corbin 16 March 1907 in Jasper County, Illinois. As far as I know it was her first marriage as she had two children (Clara and Jesse)out of wedlock. (I am getting birth records for these children) For Randall, it was his second marriage. I think he was married to Sarah Boruff? 28 November 1871 in Greene Co., IN. What happened to Sarah? Did he have any children with her? Randoll did not have biological children with Dora. Dora didn't live very long; she died between 1910 and 1912 in Crawford County, IL. The guardianship record is showing Clara as orphaned. Jesse is not listed in that papers which suggested he/she was about 16-18 years old. I spent many years looking for Dora's grave with no luck. I would like to know what happened to Dora and Randoll that they died possibly the same year. I will check out the picture of his tombstone...thanks for the link. you can contact me at [email protected]
I believe these SULLIVAN, ROGERS family may be related to me and would like to be in touch with Sue Bodishbaugh. I sent her an email and it was returned. Thank you. Surnames: CORBIN, JACKSON Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.indiana.counties.greene/9732.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Randol CORBIN(1851-1912) apparently was buried next to his sister Amanda CORBIN and is named on the same stone with her. Their stone is located at the following URL, Photo No. 10: http://www.imagestation.com/album/pictures.html?id=4292716359 Randol's mother was a sister to my greatgrandfather, so there was no intention on my part to exclude any of his information. Is Dora Alice's maiden name WALL? Was she married previously to her marriage to Randol? I noticed he was about age 56 in 1907 at the time of her marriage. Would she have been buried next to her previous husband? If you have not looked at the marriage application/license, I would check this out first to determine if there were any other marriages listed and an indication if they were divorced from their previous spouse or were they widow/widower. Randol's uncle, John JACKSON is buried in the Robinson Cemetery, Robinson, Crawford County, IL. He worked in the oil fields there and possibly Randol worked in that profession there also. Crawford county seems to have good death records and a search there might benefit you. Randol's grandmother,Nancy (O'NEAL) JACKSON, my g-g-grandmother died in Crawford County in 1888 and I obtained her death certificate from them. Bob Jackson Bloomfield, IN
