If I wanted to obtain a birth record for someone born in the 1940 or 50's would I be able to do that at the court house or do they have a policy that does not allow that info to be published for a certain about of years. I know at the Marion library that had mentioned that info could not be published before a certain date to protect the privacy of the people still living. Does the courthouse also have this policy?
