Does anyone on the list know about the history of how the town of Landess, Indiana was named? I am researching my Landess family. I know they were born in Indiana but do not as yet have a county. I have a copy of the article on Landess Indiana which does not contain the above information. I went to the Grant County Death record site and found a Landess E. Armstrong born 11-5-24, his mother was Lily Landess. My family was a couple generations back from Landess E. Armstrong so it could be Lily's Father's generation. Does anyone have information on this family? Is there a genealogical society in Grant County that I could contact? Thank you Sharon M. Bledsoe
