I have just joined the list and am looking for information on the following Grant County families: CARROLL I descend from William Carroll (1821-1889) and his wife, Penina (Paninah, Pininah) Ellis (1825-1889). They were members of the Back Creek Friends Meeting. COLE I descend from Phillip Cole (1700's) and his wife, Alice Larsh (d.1788). They are buried in the Ballinger/Hog Creek Cemetery near Upland. MCCRUM My g-grandfather was Thomas Sabin McCrum (1854-1915). He married Charlotte Peninah Richardson (1877-1970). Family legend says that he came from Ireland as a boy and stayed with the family of Richard Beckett. During this time he went by the name of Dick Beckett. RICHARDSON My 4xgreat-grandfather was Dr. Jacob Richardson. He lived in Ohio at one time but his grandson's (Henry RIchardson) obituary calls Jacob a pioneer of Grant County. Jacob's son, Henry's father was John Richardson (b. 1825). If any of this sounds familiar to anyone please contact me. Judy Cameron wefit@fwi.com
