There is quite an article in the book, "The Making of a Township, Grant County Indiana", on a Lucas family, with picture. Have you seen it? It is written in parts by many residence, about the forming of the community, it's people and development of the land, education, daily lives, underground railroad, etc. This book was updated and reprinted a few years ago. Well worth the money. I made that phone call again this evening, and found a favorable response from the member of the genealogy group from Marion, IN. She is going to join this list, and will get a listing of books together for us. Send your Grant County, Indiana lineage's to her, and she said she will begin a second volume of GRANT COUNTY CONNECTIONS. THANKS JUNE. Send your lineage's to: Mrs. June Shields 908 Hawthorne Road Marion, Indiana; 46952 Junes E-mail address is: jadnard@bpsinet.com Welcome to the group June.
