Little and Miriam E. Little. This was James second wife. They had a certificate to Back Creek Friends Meeting and James is buried in the Back Creek burying ground. His death date was November 1, 1876. Does anyone have any more information on any of these people. Is the Back Creek burying ground still in existence? James is my ggg-grandfather from his first marriage and is an enigma. Any clues would be appreciated. Tonya

    1. Glass Factory
    2. mgpg
    3. Thanks everyone for the information regarding glass factories in Grant Co. I am coresponding with a man in England who is interested in the glass factories in the U.S. He is working on extracting all glassmakers and allied trades for England. He would like to trace where in the U.S. glassmakers emigrated. I will be sending him the address of Grant Co.'s local paper so that he might seek individuals who families were involved in this business. Shelia, if the gas ran out in 1910 then this gives me reason to believe that is when the Kreins moved to No. Vernon. That's approximately when the factory was built in N.V. Can anyone tell me when these factories were in operation? I know it was the early 1900's or earlier. Any information would be helpful. Maggie Green North Vernon, IN

Traveled to near Cincinnati, Ohio in early 1800's. Married Hannah Malott in what was then Hamilton Co., Ohio in 1798. The area where they lived eventually became Clermont Co. in 1810. Daniel, Hannah and Hannah's brother and sister-in-law Reason and Sarah (Albany) Malott left Ohio about 1819 first settled in Winchester, Randolph Co., Ind.. Then the Badger and Malott families came up the Mississinewa river and settled in 1826 near what was then Delaware Co. and later became Grant Co.. Daniel and Hannah were my ggg-grandparents. Am interested in any and all information on the Badger and Malott families. Have much to share. Daniel and Hannah had a son Reason who married Mary Curtis, daughter of Job and Anna (Sinclair) Curtis who were early settlers in Pleasant Twp., Grant Co..
