    1. Campbell & Groman Funeral Home Whereabouts?
    2. Audrey Shields Hancock
    3. I am in search of the Campbell and Groman Funeral Home that existed 1902 when my husband's g-gf was buried. They handled the burial services according to his death certificate. He was buried at Forrestville Cemetery in Madison Co., IN. I have asked on the Madison Co., IN Discussion List if anyone had heard of the Campbell-Groman Funeral Home, but no one has. It has been suggested that the Funeral Home could have been located in Grant Co., IN. Forrestville is located in Madison Co., IN, but near the Grant Co., IN line, so there is a possibility. Has anyone on this list heard of the Campbell & Groman Funeral Home around Forrestville? Audrey Shields Hancock

    1. Wright in Marion, IN
    2. My grandfather, Henry Hargis Wright, and his brother, Ollie Wright, went to Marion IN sometime around 1900. On 24 June 1905, Henry married Edith Rachel Jackson, who had brothers Otto and Harry Jackson. Edith was raised by people named Elkins. Henry and Edith had children Mildren b 1907 and Frederick b 1918. They lived at 1407 W 37th St. and 1314 W 39th Street. He was a butcher. Ollie was the sheriff of Marion in the 1940s. He married Lydia and had a daughter Mamie. Coming with them to Marion are half brothers and sisters Samuel and Sarah Butler, Lucinda Butler and husband Mr. Ball, who had a daughter Amanda Ball. I have been trying to find their ggrandfather for 15 years going backward, and I suddenly realized that by going forward, I may find someone who might already have the info I've been looking for. 3. Here is a searchable site at the University of Michigan that may be of interest to some. It contains books and periodicals from the 19th century that have been scanned - you don't see a transcription, you see the real thing. One of the items I looked at was an Ohio Gazetteer and Business Directory for 1861 - very interesting! http://www.umdl.umich.edu/moa/index.html Annette DeHoff netandmike@nni.com (Currently searching for Jeffries in VA>NC>TN>AL>OH>IN)

    3. I'm looking for any information (any time frame) on BRATTAIN, SALZMAN and DeFOREST. I know this is pretty vague, but I'm desperate for any scraps of information. I've exhausted my mother's supply of information. My mother (Marjorie Brattain, d/o Pearl Manson & Helen Salzman Brattain) left Marion for Springfield, OH and then Urbana, OH, back in the mid 30s. She still visits relatives, but maddeningly, never remembers to get any information. But until this summer (if it ever comes!!!!) I'm hoping somebody on this list has some information. 1. Bole-Randolph
    2. Hi, Does anyone have any information on David Bole, b. April 13, 1872 in Grant County, IN, d. July 1971 in Sumner, IL. Married to Elizabeth Randolph and had four daughters: Esther, Mildred, Aileen, and Ruth. This was David's second marriage. I would like to know the names of the parents of David Bole and the names of the parents of Elizabeth Randolph. David Bole was the great- grandfather of my husband. I was told that David Bole's parents' names were James and Susan. I did find a James and Susannah on the 1880 Grant County census, but no David was listed as being in that family. I checked other Boles in that county for 1880 and did not find a David in any of those families either. I know that David eventually was in Crawford County, IL. Maybe his parents moved to Crawford County by the 1880 census? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would love to share what information I have also. Thanks in advance. Debi (Ferguson) Krych
