Am interested in hearing from anyone with info or possible connections to the following Samuel Ingram or his children (as follows). My line of the family pioneered very early in Wayne Co KY by 1790 or so, lived there for a couple of generations, moved to Missouri about 1850 and then to Idaho abt 1900. I have lots of info, pictures, etc. 1. SAMUEL1 INGRAM was born Abt. 1740, and died 1799-1801 in Montgomery Co. VA. He married ANNE MENEFEE(?). Notes for SAMUEL INGRAM: Samuel's will was written 17 Jan, 1799, probated Aug, 1801. He was a veteran of the Revolutionary War, serving as a private in the Cherokee Expedition. Samuel was wounded in the chest while battling Indians. Was appointed Overseer of Roads in Fincastle Co Virginia on 3 Sept 1776, after his service. Samuel and Anne were in Hampshire Co. VA by 1766. Were listed on 1788 and 1789 tax lists of Montgomery Co. VA, along with James, Samuel Jr., Jonathan and John Ingram. Also nearby were Jariot, James and Reuben Menefee. The Wayne Co., KY biography of his son James notes a Scottish ancestry, with the original name spelled "Ingraham." Children of SAMUEL INGRAM and ANNE MENEFEE(?) are: 2. i. JAMES2 INGRAM, b.
