    3. >I don't know about all of them but I am pretty sure that John, James and >I also heard from another Ingram researcher that an Archibald Ingram and >Mary (Nichols) Ingram family moved from Caswell Co., NC to Wilson Co., >Tennessee. From the notes that I had, I was not sure if the entire family >or only some of the children of Archibald and Mary moved to Tennessee. Any >idea if my Ingrams are tied to your Archibald? >David David, Archibald's son, Martin INGRAM, did move to Wilson Co Tennessee. Martin and Anna (HOWARD) INGRAM had at least 2 children (Archibald Franklin and Sidney Nichols) while they were living in Wilson Co. On 11 Oct 1831, Martin and Anna had inherited some land from Anna's mother, Mary (MONTGOMERY) HOWARD. It was 59 acres on Smith's Fork. Then again on 29 Dec 1832, Martin received 59 acres on Smith's Fork from George F. HOWARD. I wonder if it is the same land. I have no concrete evidence that Archibald moved with them. I know he died and is buried in Caswell Co. It is where his will is probated. I think your INGRAM branch is not descended from Archibald. . . . I think, but don't quote me, that we are related from John or James, a generation before Archibald. That would mean your John INGRAM is a cousin of my Martin INGRAM.
