I am starting to collect information about my Caswell Co ancestors. In 1779, John Ingram sold the land on which the Yanceyville (pronounced YAN-kin-vil) Caswell Co NC courthouse. Unfortunately, John died before the sale of the courthouse was complete. His widow inherited the proceeds from the sale. Would you like a copy of the sale and/ or his will? I think (although the proof is lacking) that the NC INGRAM's came from Virginia. Maybe in a small town about 30 miles to the north near the Pittsylvania and Halifax county border . . . Ingram Virginia . . . hum Does anyone know which INGRAM the town of Ingram Virginia was named after? In what time period was it named?
