Wonderful! Your message has just given me a new branch! I have been researching my Simpson ancestors in Hardeman County, and then learned of Needham Ingram and Nancy King. I found a genealogy for Nancy King (at http://members.tripod.com/~loupero/michaela.htm), which traces the Kings back to an immigrant Michael King. But until now I haven't learned anything about the Ingrams. Any details you could send me about these families, including sources, would be greatly appreciated! Are you a descendant of Needham and Nancy? Their daughter Mariah married William Simpson, and named their first son after Mariah's parents: Needham King Simpson, who is my GG-grandfather. I know a fair amount about these families if your interested. Also, if this is your line, you may be interested in John Worth Simpson's book which traces William's ancestors.
