    1. Ingram/Lee
    2. I found a couple of interesting details the other day. In the Abstract of NC Wills, LDS Fiche number 6019970, for Robeson Co NC there was a will for John Lee in 1792, mentions Shadrack, Rebecca, Jackson, Jemima, Cinlaw, Ragor, Bullard, Elizabeth. Since we have those Ingrams and Lee connected in Johnston Co, with Shadrack Ingram, I wondered if this Shadrck Lee might connect the Johnston and Robeson Co Lees? In the family listing sent by PowellJP&@aol.com on Jan 31, for the descendants of William Ingram b abt 1720 d 1771 in Johnston Co NC, there is Shadrack Ingram who married Ann Rains? and lived in Johnston Co NC. They had a daughter Eleanor who married a James Lee, nothing more shown. There is a James Lea who is listed in the Rhea Co, TN entry takers book, this is on fiche at LDS library, #6104497. I realize there are a lot of James Lees around but thought someone might want to know for future reference. There is also a John Lee, son of Elizabeth Ingram and William Lee, who went to Bledsoe Co TN. I just happened to have the TN Land Grant Index (LDS 1002736) for the L's so I looked for Lee in bledsoe Co. There were a number of Lees there, including Elisha (1837), Elizabeth (1849() Francis (1849), Grace (1828), Isaac (1839), John Lee and Isaac Rainy 1833, John Lee and James Cowan 1833, John Lee and Ephraim thurman 1836, William Lee 1820, 1825 and 1828. Also an entry for Joh Lea and William S Whiteside in 1838, and for 5000 acres in 1828. Placing John Lee in Bledsoe Co in the same time frame as James Ingram, who was in the 1830 census in Bledsoe Co seems to indicate to me a connection to this Johnston Co line of Ingrams and Lees. Does anyone know of any additional research on the Ingrams in Johnston Co, NC, that might provide a connection to James Wilson Ingram? An interesting note is that the surveyor for Rhea Co in that time frame was James Wilson. Another coincidence? Now that I have identified two of the sons in law of James Ingram in Rhea Co, which adjoins Bledsoe Co on the east, I feel pretty well sure that we are talking about the right James Ingram to be the same one who went to Washington Co, AR, by 1840, along with sons in law Gilbert Luper and Young B Monday.
