    1. Re: [INGRAM-L] Marr. of Randolf Co WV 1787-1800+
    2. WOW Lyle.. boy, does this genealogy seem to go in circles sometimes! LOL! Do you remember me? We wrote to each other about 3 years ago and you sent info on URIAH, (THANK YOU) which appears to be this same one.. now that I look at it a little harder. Back then, I shrugged it off, but I am beginning to believe it may be the right URIAH after all (his father). DO you have any further info on this Uriah who married in the early 1800's in Randolf CO? Thanks Valerie

    1. Re: [INGRAM-L] Marr. of Randolf Co WV 1787-1800+
    2. The Ingrams in the Randolph Co Marriage Records are all my Ingram family. They descend from Abraham Ingram who married Elizabeth Slaven in Bath County VA. Abraham came from the border area of MD and DL. Lyle Corder

    1. [INGRAM-L] Marr. of Randolf Co WV 1787-1800+
    2. I got this info from a web site http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvbarbou/randmar.htm while searching for a URIAH INGRAM born about 1814. I was told his father was John, but this may turn out to be false. The Uriah listed below might pan out to be related....(NOTE The surname SHREEVE(s) also, for those interested in Shreeve) Does anyone have ANY info on these INGRAMS listed below? thanks...Valerie (begin cut and paste from Web site) Many years ago Nicholas Sturm hand copied much of Volume 1 of Randolph County marriages. A large portion of them were the marriages between 1787 and 1819 of persons living in (now) Barbour County. Catherine Lew Sturm collected an additional 200 family marriages from the Randolph County records during trips to Elkins over the last 25 years. She recently retyped the entire collection of their records and they have generously allowed me to put them here on the Barbour County Genealogy Page. I hope you will join me in thanking them both for offering these records to us. For the present they are unindexed, use the FIND feature on your browser software to locate names of interest to you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Book One DAUGHTER OF/ WIDOW DATE By Page 10 Enoch Osborn Mary Tidricks Aug. 20, 1803 Robt. (My mind just isnt working this morning, I am sure everyone has seen these volumes, but cannot remember the exact name) Ifyou know the correct title, please tell us. I read through these books a few months ago, and found out some interesting things. For instance, one name I followed, went back and forth from Virginia and Jamaica several times. (These books show the transport of indentured servants and who ordered the transport - not sure if that meant the "boss", but it might help locate what time periods to search) Some servants were sent to the W.I. and back again, But listed ALSO the name of either the plantation owner, or the agent who was involved in overseeing this servants transport. Might be a great way to find out "where" our ancestors "other" plantations were. Good luck

    2. Guy Ingram
    3. It may be a red herring, but.... The family of Archibald Ingram, provost of Glasgow 1766, held a plantation in Jamaica called Harmony House (nr. Montego Bay). The names Alexander, John, James, Robert and Hugh, figure prominently in this family. Ties between Virginia and Jamaica seem to have been fairly close, judging by accounts I have of some of my family who lived in the W.I. It's a long shot, but may be worth checking. If your Alexander was a plantation owner I'd definitely check it out. BTW- I'm not related, two professional genealogists identified this as our family, but I found the proof that they were wrong. - Guy Ingram, in Lismore NSW Australia KB198@aol.com wrote: > > Looking for the parents of Alexander Ingram, b. about 1704 (birthplace > unknown) and d. about 1783 in Botetourt County, VA. 3. Becky, Was wondering if you have any further info on the first child listed: John Ingram b. abt.1730 Botetourt Co, d. 1813 Patrick CO VA. Reason I ask is our 3G grandmother was Rachel Ingram and her father was John Ingram, according to "History and Genealogy of the Shreve Family" by LP Allen. Rachel was born 4 Jun 1784, so conceivable that her father could have been born as early as 1730. Rachel died 3 Nov 1863, and married Thomas Shreve 9 Jun 1811. Have been trying to find out more about her family. Thanks, Terry Bodkin On 6/1/98 4:03 PM KB198@aol.com wrote: >Looking for the parents of Alexander Ingram, b. about 1704 (birthplace >unknown) and d. about 1783 in Botetourt County, VA. 1. [INGRAM-L] SARAH PERKINS
    2. Hi, I'm new to the list and am hoping that some one can connect into my line. I am searching for the parents of Sarah Perkins. Sarah was born in Fayette Co KY 1 Aug 1786. She married William P. Hurst in Fayette 27 Sept 1807. William died in Edgar Co. IL in 1858, where they were living. Sarah and William had the following children: Abner b. 1821 Emily b. 1808 David b. 1813 William, Jr. b. 1815 Mary A. b. 1825 Thomas Smith b. 1817 Sarah b. 1819 Ruth b. 1822 Dicy C. b. 1827 Henry W. b. 1832 Polly b. 1825 I'm sure she was born in Fayette Co KY because the 1850 Edgar Co IL census recorded birth counties. I could not find a record of her death in Edgar Co IL Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Elinor Kerklingh Svihla svihlae@agcs.com --

    2. Kelly Paul Graham
    3. Dear INGRAMS and freinds: George INGRAM died in Northumberland County, Virgina, in late 1796, probably on the Dividing Creek. George INGRAM's will, dated in November of 1796, lists three sons; Josias, Thomas W., and John INGRAM. Also listed is George's wife, Chloe INGRAM. Josiah INGRAM, born between 1740 and 1750, or Thomas INGRAM had a son, William INGRAM about 1775. William INGRAM married a Mary CURRIN in Northumberland County on 18 Febuary, 1799. William H. IGRAM is born in Virginia in 1800 or 1801. William INGRAM died in Jefferson County, Georgia in 1806 or 1807. In his will he mentions his wife, Mary, and sons John Spirs, William, Edmond, and Josiah. John SPIRS or SPIERS could have been a son-in-law. In the 1820 Census of Jefferson County, Georgia, a Mary INGRAM and John INGRAM are listed. In 1826, William H. INGRAM married a Lucy WINDBUSH (WIMBISH ?) in Jones County, Georgia. William H. INGRAM is listed in the Jones County, Georgia, Census of 1830, 1840, and 1860. William H. INGRAM is listed in 1860 as 59 years old. Henry C. INGRAM (my grt-grt-grandfather) was born in November of 1858 (source: Jones County Census, 1860) in Jones County, Georgia. Henry C INGRAM married Elizabeth GREEN of Forsythe, Georgia, in 1880. Henry C. and his family moved to Houston County, Texas before the 1900 census. Henry C. INGRAM had two daughters who married Paul Edward WEISINGER of Houston County. Addie INGRAM (my grt-grandmother) died on 11 September 1916. Annie INGRAM died in 1927. Annie INGRAM died in 1926. Henry C. died in 1942. Questions- Who was Josiah INGRAM, son of George, Married to ? Who were the parents of Mary CURRIN, wife of William INGRAM ? Who were the parents of Lucy WINDBUSH/ WIMBISH, wife of William H. INGRAM ? Was Henry C. INGRAM William H.'s son or grandson ? Any help would be appreciated, and hopefully I can help you. Thanks- Kelly Paul Graham.

    2. S.E.T. D.UNCAN
    3. Hello, Michele and fellow subscribers; This message is being sent to tell you all that I have not gone away, but I have had to cut down on my amount of daily mail. For several months, I have debated giving away some of my lists (My babies) and when I realized that Michele was on so many of my lists, I decided to offer her the chance to take them over. She was chosen because she is already a listowner and because I have seen her do her stuff and she is very good. The CARR list is pretty active but the other two lists are not and I kept wanting to get in and promote more activity on some of my slower lists but never seemed to get the time. Now, I believe that the INGRAM & DABNEY lists will get the attention they deserve. Please welcome her and take as good a care of her as you did of me. ENJOY...ONE AND ALL!!!
