I am looking for some early information on John Ingram b 1805 in North Carolina. He married Eliza Todd January 23, 1828 in Wilson County, TN. In 1850, he was still living in Wilson Co. Tn, but moved to Lamar County, TX before 1860. He died in Lamar County on Feb 26, 1866. Any help on locating early information on John Ingram and his family will be appreciated. David Hughes
Hi! I made a mistake. The lady I am researching is Cynthia Ann INGRAM not Rebecca Ingram. All the info is the same. I just miscopied. Grins, Kaye One never knows when one tiny piece will pull the puzzle together.
Hello, I am looking for Rebecca INGRAM married to Isaac ISON. I have no info on her and do not know where they were. One child was Edmond ISON married to Cassie HUFF. Their daughter was Rebecca ISON, 1853-1948, married to Uriah Washington JOHNSON, 1849-1928, in Pike Co. KY. Any help would be appreciated. Grins, Kaye One never knows when one tiny piece will pull the puzzle together.

Hello all fellow Ingram researchers. I wanted to let you all know that if you have ancestors who may have married in Navarro county, Texas, their original marriage license may be at the court house. These are the originals, not copies. The county didn't always mail these out to the couples as they do now. For various reasons, they were never picked up. There is no charge for these by the county at this time as they don't belong to the county, but should have been in the hands of your ancestors years ago. There are an estimated 20,000 plus of these old licenses, some as old as 1850!! I was attempting to index them and physically sort them, until the county clerk changed his mind. I have all of the "A"s through "M"s on disc and the licenses are at the court house in alphabetical order. All the "N"s through "Z"s are separated into boxes but not in alphabetical order. There are 15 computer paper boxes stuffed full of licenses. The licenses for the following Ingram grooms were at the Navarro county, Texas court house as of April of this year: (Note that the dates are issue date, not marriage date or date of recording. Also notes including "col" or "fmc/fwc" indicate that the couple was "colored" or "free man of color/ free woman of color". The "*" indicates that the license is in a separate folder which contains very fragile old licenses.) Hi Mr. Ingram, Thanks for your response. I had wondered about the possibility of INGHAM being a variation of INGRAM since I have been unsuccessfully seeking anyone related to Myra (born Eggleston) Ingham, born 1 May 1862 and deceased 31 Jan 1946, who married an Edwin D. Ingham, born 4 Sep 1860 in La Grange, Texas and deceased 7 Oct 1947. They were married on September 4, 1887 in Osceola, Clarke County, Iowa. They had two known children: 1 Helen Lenore Ingham, born 29 Jun 1888, married 28 Sep 1945 to John A. Howard, resident Los Angeles, CA 2 Claude Eugene Ingham, born 26 Oct 1889, deceased Nov 1979 (probably California), married 5 Apr 1916 to Myrtle Guyda Wells in Lincoln, Nebraska. Claude was a banker in Los Angeles. Also, any information on INGHAM family; specifically, Alonzo Robert INGHAM married Molly Huffman FARLEY 28 Dec 1886 at Whiting, Monona Co., IA; also, Frederick Gregory INGHAM married Cora Konkle at Whiting, Monona Co., IA on 10 Mar 1895. Believe they are related to my Edwin David INGHAM who married my great aunt, Myra Elizabeth EGGLESTON. Myra Elizabeth (EGGLESTON) INGHAM, mother of Helen and Claude, was born the daughter of Alpheus EGGLESTON (Alpheus b 4 Jul 1830 Portage County, Ohio, deceased Osceola, Iowa 9 May 1905, buried Maple Hill Cemetery, and Mary BEUTELON, deceased. Osceola, Clarke Co., Iowa 15 May 1892, buried Clarke County, Iowa. I belong to the Society of Mayflower Descendants and all bloodline descendants of my Great Aunt Myra (Eggleston) and Edwin Ingham are Mayflower descendants through six lines through my Great Grandfather Alpheus Eggleston. I had contacted a man in Chicago who had published a book on Inghams and he had Myra and Edwins' names and names of their children, but could not connect them to any other INGHAM families. Myra (Eggleston) Ingham's brother, Richard "Dick" Lansing Eggleston, was my Grandfather. He was administrator of Alpheus's estate in 1907 and, at that time, Myra was living in Coleridge or Coldridge, Cedar Co., Nebraska. My grandfather (Myra's brother and uncle of her children Helen and Claude) was the Osceola, Iowa Marshall and Clarke County, Iowa Sheriff when he was tragically killed on duty in the 22 November 1917 Osceola, Clarke Co., Iowa town fire & explosion. When my Grandmother Dora (Lewis) Eggleston and my mother, Blanche Lenore (born Eggleston) Taake, who was 8 years old at the time of the explosion, moved to Des Moines, our family lost touch. I have wondered for many years about the families of my Grandpa's brothers and sisters and wanted to find them. If anyone is related to, or knows of, this family, please contact me. Sincerely, Jeannie Winter (Email: JWinter588@AOL.com)
Hello everyone, I would like to know if the surname INGRAM has a variation spelled "INGHAM" and can queries of INGHAM be posted to this mailing list? Thank you, Jeannie Winter

Hello all fellow researchers! I know that my 3rd great grandfather, Zion Cantrell b. about 1821 in SC and his brother, Benjamin Franklin Cantrell b. 1825 in SC, married sisters, Eliza Smith b. 1822 in GA and Mary Francis "Polly" Smith b. 1824 in SC, both in Carroll county, GA. I know that Eliza and Polly's parents were Andrew J. and Nancy Ingram Smith who ended up in Van Zandt county, Texas. I am going in about 2 weeks to do extensive research on these families. Was wondering if any other researcher has gotten any more info on parents of Andrew J. Smith and Nancy Ingram. Also interested in other children of Andrew J. and Nancy Ingram Smith. I have another 3rd great grandmother, Permelia Smith b. 1811 in SC, who married Barnett Hollingsworth. Barnett and Permelia Smith Hollingsworth were in Mississippi, Arkansas and Texas. I realize this is a long shot, but I was wondering if Permelia could possibly be related to the other Smith's. My reason for the possible connection, is that it seems that several of the many pieces of real estate that Barnett Hollingsworth bought after his arrival in Texas, were in Van Zandt county, Texas. Thanks in advance for any additional info. Peggy peggy@dhc.net

Dear subscriber, I am forwarding this message to all you because I feel that helping the Rootsweb network is very important to all genealogy researchers. If you have been luck enought to find a missing link thru Rootsweb and it's many volunteers (like myself). Then show your gratitude, by sending them a few dollars. How much would it have cost YOU to find this same information on your own. (postage, gas, copies, etc.and most important time) Michele, your host. ================= In August, use of RootsWeb grew on average about 15%. While we're more than pleased by our growth, it *is* forcing us to upgrade our servers and increase our bandwidth, which in turn severely strains our limited financial resources. If you'd like to help RootsWeb grow, please consider becoming a RootsWeb Member or Sponsor. Information on how to do that follows the statistics. Wynell Simpson PS, if we can prove that Roger Ingram was the father of our William, I believe Rogers father will turn out to be John. ______________________________
I am seeking information on Elizabeth Ingram born about 1805 in North Carolina (possibly Richmond County). She married Asa Dumas and they had the following children: Martha abt 1830, Benjamin abt 1832, Clarissa "Clarasy" 25 Jul 1835, Sarah abt 1838, Linsy abt 1840, Asariah "Asa" 18 Aug 1843, George abt 1846. All of the children were born in Alabama. Family lived in St Clair Co. Alabama.
Hi, I have only one bit of INGRAM data and have been stuck here for some time. My Greatgrandmother was Mary C. (INGRAM) Hardin. I know that she lived, and is buried, in Talbot County, Ga. Her husband Howard Holmes HARDIN and one daughter, Sally, are buried together, near the town of Woodland. My Grandmother Atha Lena HARDIN, is buried in the Woodland Town cemetery, about 3 miles away. I have had no luck with further info on the INGRAM or HARDIN lines...so any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Bill === Descendants of Mary C. Ingram 1 Mary C.
