    1. [INGRAM-L] James Ingram
    2. Ray P. Ingram
    3. My James INGRAM is older than James Wilson INGRAM from AR. He ran with the group close to Will ROGERS, and later lived close to the STARR sisters. (in fact they thought of them as good Samaritans). He is buried in an old cemetery near Paoli (Pauls Valley), Oklahoma. His sons nicknames: Abraham "Abe"; Joseph Randolph "Texas Joe" or "Bud"; James Henry went by Henry. I appreciate all the info everyone is sending. It does sound close and the type work they would do, but I can't match anything yet. D'Ann ringram@texhoma.net

    1. [INGRAM-L] OKC Stockyards???
    2. Ray P. Ingram
    3. Does anyone have information on some Ingram's in the OKC Stockyard? They may have been from the first family of Joseph Randolph INGRAM or one of his brothers (James Henry or Abraham) or uncles? JR INGRAM was one of the first to bring cattle herds into OK for the building of the railroad. Earl Frank INGRAM bought his farm (now in the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Area) from Moffett and Fusen Livestock Commission Company at the Oklahoma City Stockyards. Thanks for the help in advance. 3. Kathy, Your Ingram line is not mine so I have little to offer, but I believe that some of the ancestors for whom you search will be found in Johnston Co NC. Some years back there was an Ingram researcher that sent a couple of pages of data to the Johnston Co History Room, in the Public Library, Smithfield, NC regarding your family. She was searching for the parents and siblings of Minerva . She had been doing research since May 1974. Unfortunately I can not tell from the information that I copied who she was, but she mentions a 1980 Ingram family reunion in Veneta, Oregon for the descendants of James II and Minerva Ingram with 97 in attendance. Anyway, I made several copies of her material because it was hard to make out and I kept trying to get a better copy. I do not have time to transcribe it for you, but will snail mail it to you if you wish. This lady has tracked church membership from Little Cedar Creek Baptist Church, Wilson Co. TN, 1830, (Minerva was a small child then) to her membership in the Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church at age 19, in 1843. She was the 32nd member and James, the 31st. The church was in Shiloh, AR, (now Springdale, AR) . Minerva married James in Washington Co AR on 25 Feb 1841. Later the family migrated by oxen team to Willamette Valley in OR. They left in early Apr 1852 and arrived in the Oregon Valley 1 Dec 1852. The train was known as the Ingram Wagontrain. This woman's notes go on. Yours, Franklin Ingram

    2. Penny
    3. instead of typing a name in your queries try typing the name "UNKNOWN" use it as a first name or a last name, experiment with it!! first to see if you can use this tactic at a particular web site try using the names SMITH or JONES ie: SMITH UNKNOWN UNKNOWN SMITH this works in the Kentucky Death Index & the SSDI Master index. try it in other places too & see what you can find! 3. Group, I'm like the person the other day who said they were new on this mailing list. I subscribed about 2 weeks ago. Lets liven this mailing list up. I personally would like to see some other families posted. I'm gonna post the first INGRAM that appeared in my lineage. I'm not certain of her parents as I have a different opinion than everyone I've corresponded with. I have NO proof as to her parents but I believe from information that I have found that I am right. Would love for someone to have proof that would prove me wrong. I will list who I think it is and then who everyone thinks it might be. And I welcome any information to prove or disprove either of the possible parents for MORNING INGRAM. I have as Morning's parents Garland INGRAM and Johannah (Anna) MAYS/MAYES; they married 15 Feb 1796 in Pittsylvania Co, VA. Or she was child of one of his brothers. I don't have proof of this. Other researchers have her parents as Tarpley INGRAM and Mourning MAYS; they married 15 Aug 1799 in Pittsylvania Co, VA. No one can supply me with proof of this one either. MORNING INGRAM was born about 1797/1798 in VA or NC and died 20 Nov 1879 in Robertsville, Anderson Co, TN. Morning married SOLOMON HALL 24 Dec 1817 in Milton, Caswell Co, NC. Here are the children that I have for Solomon and Morning HALL and I do believe there are other children who may have died. There are a number of years between the first and second child. 1. BAILEY/BALEY B. HALL b. Dec 1818 VA d. after 1900 in Roane Co, TN. he married first Sophia CORMANY 20 Oct 1844 in VA. He married second Sarah M. JONES 23 Nov 1881 in Roane Co, TN. 2. ?? JULIA ANNIE HALL B. abt 1825 in Pittsylvania Co, VA d. abt 1884 in Surry Co, NC. She married William SNODDY abt 1840. 3. ELIZA HALL b. about 1827 in VA. She married Noah ORTEN 7 Dec 1848 in Roane Co, TN; they divorced. 4. SANFORD HALL b. abt 1828 in Pittsylvania Co, VA; d. 5 Jul 1862 (during the Civil War) in Barbourville, Knox Co, KY. He married Mary 'Polly' PRESTON 15 Mar 1849 in Roane Co, TN. They had 6 children. (This is my line). After Sanford's death Mary married Andrew J. VANN 4 Feb 1863 in Roane Co, TN they have children all names are not known. Mary is the daughter of JESSE PRESTON and NANCY BOGART. 5. REV. FELIX H. HALL b. 18 Feb 1832 in VA, d. 13 May 1911 in TN. He married Elizabeth HART 15 Oct 1857 in Roane Co, TN. 6. TELITHA JANE HALL b. abt 1835 in NC. She married George W. LITTLETON 23 Sep 1856 in Roane Co, TN. They moved to Arkansas. 7. WILLIAM MEREDITH HALL b. 21 Sep 1837 in NC; d. 7 Nov 1902 in Roane Co, TN. He married first Susannah (CORMANY) DUTTON 9 Dec 1858 in Roane Co, TN. She was widow of David DUTTON. William married second Mary Jane (MILLER) NEEGAARD 20 Dec 1866. Mary Jane was widow of Jens NEEGAARD. 8. ELIZABETH F. HALL b. abt 1841 in NC. She married (1)Elisha HEATH 20 Oct 1856; they divorced; married (2) John LANE 11 Dec 1859; married (3) Greenberry SWEET on 5 Aug 1865 in Anderson Co, TN. Solomon Hall first appeared on Roane Co, TN Tax list in 1820 the first year that Garland Ingram first appeared. He moved back to Pittsylvania Co, VA and bought land in 1827. He is still there on 1830 census but by 1840 he is in Surry Co, NC. They moved back to TN again between 1841 and Jan 1849 and lived in the same general area as Garland Ingram. Solomon and Mourning/Morning both died in Anderson Co, TN. Wanda Aurora, CO
