I've received many inquiries and some willing volunteers. It is time to update the list of counties which are waiting for a volunteer to extract information for this index. 29 counties need a volunteer; Carroll, Clark, Crawford, Delaware, Floyd, Jennings, Laporte, Lawrence, Marshall, Miami, Noble, Orange, Owen, Parke, Pike, Porter, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, St. Joseph, Scott, Shelby, Sullivan, Switzerland, Tippecanoe, Union, Vigo, Washington and Wayne. If anyone is interested in auditing and checking a county that has been extracted, please contact me. There are 17 counties awaiting this phase of the project. They are Bartholomew, Benton, Clinton, Dearborn, Decatur, Dekalb, Franklin, Grant, Hamilton, Harrison, Kosciusko, Perry, Ripley, Steuben, Wells, White, and Whitley. For extracting information in phase one and auditing & checking names in phase two, you must have access to a microfilm reader. For those volunteers who can do data entry the following six counties are ready; Fayette, Fountain, Jackson, Montgomery, Wabash, and Warren. We supply the software and instructions.
