Hello Indiana GenWeb Coordinators! Lawrence County is alive and thriving! We have gotten several donations recently including obituaries, bible records and the graduation lists from a long-ago high school. One really fun addition has been newspaper transcripts for the 1860's and 1870's. Our genealogy angel, Diana Flynn, has been typing up the news and notes sections from Lawrence County newspapers. We have been posting them online...and having a blast with them! Several people have found out mundane information about their ancestor...and we all have found out the cost of potatoes in 1875 (35 cents/bushel)! Take care!
