Hello everyone! I wanted to respond to roll call to all because I want to invite you to see the exciting things happening over at Jay County. I am still here and doing fine..Jay County is booming right now and we are testing a new search engine! We recently put up a "death diary" with 1000 death entries..it was large enough we decided the time had come to test a search engine. Right now, only the death diary is linked up, but we hope to link all the databases to it and make the site fully searchable. What I like about the engine is that you can just type in a single letter and see any entry that begins with that letter, or a partial name or whatever. We will be adding a large data base of WW1 vets soon and it will be linked to the engine as well. The Genealogical Society recently came on line and they have been very helpful. They have sent me so cemetary inscriptions, so yet another database is in the works and will be searchable. Eventually, we hope to dump all our databases into a single searchable data base.
