We have some very wonderful persons who have worked on Indiana things in so many various ways -- whether it is through the USGenWeb Project, the Biographies or Archiving various projects, volunteers who work with the Indiana USGenWeb county things (tombstone transcriptions, census, marriage, birth, death, divorces, wills, newspapers), or separate individuals with no connctions to anyone who have put up county pages on their own, etc. I don't think bickering over minor things is the answer and if we link to one another's sites it only helps the customers find things easier. Sure, we all have egos whether they are big or small, and we all want to be recognized in many fashions (even if just a thank you from one of our customers). And we WILL be recognized if we work together instead of bickering -- otherwise people will hear bad things and shy away from certain sites or not volunteer because of this bickering, etc. Does it REALLY matter if a non-USGenWeb site (such as the biography project) is linked to the major Indiana USGenWeb page or not??? I just wanted to say THANK YOU ALL -- whether we are under one organization or not is NOT SO IMPORTANT as whether we COMPLEMENT EACH OTHER and do the best we can for the customers (those who visit our webpages looking for their ancestry). So now that I have said my 2cents worth let me just say -- let's work together and not against each other. My best to all on this beautiful Sunday, Judy M. jmurphy@erinet.com Perry, Gibson and Spencer Cos, IN (USGenWeb Project)
