Here is a couple of news tid-bits that you may want to see. ************************************************************* First from Megan Zurawicz, (National Coordinator USGenWeb); Because of USGenWeb's commitment to free access and free net use, we'd like to avoid even the appearance of commercial sites. Since Geocities has taken to inserting commericials into site access, I'd like to heavily encourage any county coordinators whose USGW sites are on Geocities to move them....there's Rootsweb, USRoots, Angelfire and probably other options out there that are much more polite. An additional issue is that the more sophisticated Geocities makes access to their server, the more complaints we get from users about Geocities sites....because the flashier it gets, the more users who can't, for whatever reason, access it.
