I just noticed something that may be of interest to you: Lazarus Bowers married Jan 25, 1866 Harrison Co, IN to Martha A. Clark sounds like a possible for you -- if they were there in 66 then good chance they were there in 60 or 70 too. This would narrow down your entire state search for them possibly. (Of course they could have done like my sister-in-law did -- she went from Wheeling WVA across state of Ohio and married in Richmond IND -- and they did that even back in 1860s too.) Judy M.
