Brian Leverich has asked me to let you folks know that if you want to host a mail list for your county, you should go to http://www.rootsweb.com/rootsweb/members/listrequest.html and request it.... Never mind the part about "sponsors only", and please DO name it by your account name (sscccccc) ss= state code cccccc=first six letters of county name... If your county account isn't at Rootsweb that doesn't mean you can't have the list...if you're not sure how to figure out what your account name would be, feel free to ask me or your SC, most of them know how it works.... The reason we're mentioning it is that the ability to host these lists is NOT restricted to the cc---whoever requests it will get it.
