I'm the Elkhart County, IN coordinator. Simply said, I just don't know what all the hubbub is about. The GenConnect boards make my life easier by automating researcher submissions. I see nothing sinister there. I volunteer to facilitate Elkhart County genealogical research, not to stroke my own ego. I keep copyright notices on my pages to try to prevent for-profit types from stealing contributors' information, not to grab ownership and recognition for myself. I see my job here as a way to give back to the genealogical community what so many others have unselfishly given to me for many years. Usually I don't get involved with these issues, but since my mailbox is filling up, I figured it was time to get my $.02 worth in as well.
