Quote below this message is from the Genealogy.com web site. They are the host (owner???) now of GenForum. Genealogy.com is part of The Learning Company which owns Family Tree Maker. (Please note I added the stars to highlight parts of the post.) The Indiana State site there has hundreds of posts and lots of queries dealing with named counties. No one seems upset about this development. Another group is also busy setting up State and County sites and no one (except me) seems to be upset about that either . Soooo, I guess, even after reading all the posts about what Rootsweb may or may not do - now and in the future - I can't get upset about county clusters at Rootsweb. I opted to adopt the cluster for Scott. (Just as I opted to adopt a surname cluster when it became available.) The GenConnect buttons already connect to my boards, Opal still owns the mail list which I never used, preferring Dee's Kentuckiana for it's regional coverage. What did I have to lose? Nothing that I can see. What do I have to gain? Perhaps more traffic to the site and maybe a visit from someone with information to share! We can discuss it til the cows come home and it won't change anything. The clusters exist! Each individual has to do what is most comfortable for them ....period!
