Ed and everyone- I apologize for not making myself more clear. For the images that we ALREADY have in common on our pages (the USGenWeb logo - Rootsweb logos) etc - we could create a common directory. If someone has created a graphic they want to share - it could be placed in this location as well. I *certainly* did not mean that we should all use exactly the same graphics on all of our pages! I agree with Ed that would stifle the creativity that is at the heart of this project. I don't want the Indiana pages to become cookie-cutter versions - all the same. I hope I have made my intent a little clearer.... Hello all Betty seller's seems like a fine person, and I think she would do a great job. So from Historic IN county of Knox and the ex-territorial capital of the northwest territory I vote for Betty Sellers. John Stangle
On MIGEN-L there was a suggestion to create a common images directory to save space on the Rootsweb servers - we could link to the images from this directory instead of everyone saving their own copies & linking to them Visit the following site for an example - http://www.rootsweb.com/~migenweb/catalog.htm What do you all think of this idea? It could provide some consistency and save some space too! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----- Tracey & Scott Morris -- Kokomo IN -- morris@netusa1.net Rootsweb Sponsor -- http://www.rootsweb.com USGenWeb Project Member -- http://www.usgenweb.org
Jackson County--Dolores Lombardi Have been adding a couple of new surnames to the surname list each week and also seeing a steady flow of new queries and new subscribers to the mailing list. Starting to slowly see some activity on the new bio and obit boards; nothing yet on the wills and pensions boards. Dolores

John bring up a GREAT question - can the Names & Firms indexes be purchased? Looking at the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library's online catalog - it looks at if the publisher for MOST of the indexes was the Indiana State Library. Sounds like they are the ones to get in touch with.
