Fulton and LaGrange here. I've been getting quite a few cemetary and obits from people for both counties so I've been busy adding those. Hello! Amy, Jay Co. Cord. Checking in! Sick as a dog and doing the single mom thing. Argh. Jay is great..we have a new searchable data base up of WW 1 vets. We are getting lots of hits and seem to be very active these days. My number one volunteer is working on transcribing a bunch of cemetary records next, to put into our search engine. I have this hugely ambitious notion that we will have one mega data base with one searh enging some day. Lots of work for me! So not right now! Lots of look-ups being requested. What fun! STILL hoping to get to Jay county myself this year..looking more like fall though instead of summer. Cheers everyone! -----Original Message----- From: Debby Beheler [SMTP:beheler@netusa1.net] Sent: Friday, June 04, 1999 9:44 PM To: INGEN-L@rootsweb.com Subject: JUNE ROLL CALL; PLEASE RESPOND Fellow CCs: Here I go again, a little late with roll call this month. I think Patrick has a reasonably good amendment to make amendments easier and more pratical in the future for the USGW By-Laws and yet provides for some safe-guards to keep any abusive or frivolous amendments from being brought to a vote by anyone that wishes to create problems for the project for whatever reasons. I do question the need to limit when amendments can be made (i.e. every odd month - thus only 6 times a year). If a person can get 5 states to co-sponsor the amendment, why make them wait til the next odd month to be able to officially submit it for a vote? JGW - Vanderburgh Co. The USGenWeb has called for all email addresses' qualified to vote in the National Election. I have made a list of all the email address's... Counties that have MORE THAN ONE COORDINATOR - should contact me which one will be voting. There is one vote per county. Also if you have more than one county - you have only one vote also. Please check these email address's and let me know as I need to turn them in. There are a few counties in transient but I think I have all email address's covered where they will be elgible to vote. Does Rootsweb offer an e-mail address to go along with webspace for USGenWeb accounts? -Chris
I don't think the sample pages and guidelines need to be private. Why would they need to be? I would never drive my car without a backup key. Why shouldn't we have a backup system for our passwords? Phyllis Shelbyville
Hello Everyone - For the 'fourth' time this past two weeks - changing coordinator's have 'mislaid' their password to Rootweb accounts. When you place this into your ftp program and your automatic entry please please write that password down. I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THIS INFORMATION! It will be your responsibility to pass that password on to the new coordinator and If you do not have it you need to contact Rootsweb 'not me' and get the password. Betty aka Kyseeker of In and Ky
