I saw your surname posting in here and realized you are working on same lines I would like to get in touch with you so we can share/compare research. Talked to a B.G.Russell in California and he mentioned someone was working on family lines and he thought they were from Oberlin,OH. Do you know him? Thanks for your help, B.K.Stokes W.Harrison,IN >> OK - but I need to know which line you are referring to because of a unique situation -- Hannah, Gray Cotton and Belks are completely different lines. Only one connected is a Thomas Hannah who married an Abigail Osborn. Thomas Hannah died and she remarried a David Gray and I know they had at least one daughter. On the Cotton line it is a little more involved. William Cotton of the Rev. War lived in NC moved to Franklin Co. IN. His son James moved from NC to KY and he died c 1814 in Garrard Co. KY. His son Thomas born and died in Madison Co. KY. His son William moved from Madison, Co. KY to Bartholomew Co. Indiana. William was the only one to move to Indiana other than his grandfather William of Rev. War moved to Franklin Co.lN. William only had daughters with him in Franklin Co. IN We are not related to the Cotton's of Switzerland Co. Let me know which last name you are researching and I can send you what I have been able to document. I am not sure about Russel in California if I knew the e:mail I might recognize him. Have some people researching the Belk line that are from CA, OR, OH, and even another person here in El Paso, TX. Just found out a few days ago about him and we have been e:mailing for a month and did not know we were in the same town. We share the same ggrandfather Andrew Jackson Belk. Jack
