My Franklin County surname is: PETREE Spouses surnames are: BLEY, PRYOR, ODLE, BLACK, FISHER, SNOWDEN, CUMMINS Jacob Petree and his wife Sarah Ann Bley brought their family from Stokes Co., NC to Franklin Co., IN. about 1815. Jacob died in 1820, and in the 1830 census Sarah(Sally), his widow, Adam, John and Henry, his son's were still in Franklin Co. Adam married Lucy Pryor in NC, Henry married Mary Snowden and John married Mary Fisher in Franklin Co. The other children to marry in Franklin Co. were; Dorothy to John Odle, Margaret to John Black, Eve to John J. Cummins . By the 1840 census all the children had moved on to other areas.
