okay, from the response I personally received, I have changed the status of this list. In the long run it may hurt the list, but due to the complaints of the recent spam that slipped through the worldwide rootsweb server that this list is on, I have made the changes. As of this moment, the following will happen 1) ONLY those that have subscribed to the list will be able to post anything to this list. In otherwards, a passing genealogist curious as to what the list is or someone who may have a question to ask will no longer be able to do it... 2) Those who have subscribed to the list will ONLY be able to use the mail address that the subscribed from to post. Some of us with multiple e-mail boxes or if you try to post from another computer can no longer happen. This list is now limited to the 123 e-mail addresses that are in the subscription lists for the list and digest modes. Sorry to those who could care less about this topic, but I get tired of complaints... Randy Klemme
